Forms and Figures of NYC is a fusion of Fine Art and Street photography. Well composed black and white photographs capture the essence of the street life of New York City. Each of the 52 pictures tells its particualr story of the interaction of humans and animals with their environment. Grouped in series they cover overarching themes like “Empire State Building vs Lady Liberty”, “Me and my mobile”, “Ephemeral” or “Summer hats”.
Adrian Schaub is a Swiss Hasselblad photographer whose pictures have received awards in international competitions as the London Photography Awards, European Photography Awards, Budapest International Foto Awards, New York Photography Awards and Prix de la Photographie de Paris.

This is a series of videos combining the music of my son Robin with my photos into short stories. Additionally there is a video presenting the pictures of my book “Forms and Figures of New York City”.
Photo course
This is an end-to-end photo course for everyone. It begins with the photographers mindset and inspiration, afterwards it outlines some basic creative photographic tools to keep in mind when taking pictures and what to consider in the digital darkroom and ends with some thoughts about why printing of the photos is crucial.
This is work in progress and I will add new chapters if and when I have time.

Formen und Figuren von NYC ist eine Verbindung von Fine Art und Street Photography. Durchdachte Schwarz-Weiss-Fotografien fangen das Wesen des New Yorker Strassenlebens ein. Jedes der 52 Bilder erzählt seine eigene Geschichte über die Wechselwirkung von Menschen und Tieren mit ihrer Umwelt. In Serien behandeln sie übergreifende Themen wie “Empire State Building gegen Lady Liberty”, “Ich und mein Handy”, “Vergängliches” oder “Sommerhüte”.
Die Bilder des schweizerischen Hasselblad-Fotografen Adrian Schaub wurden bei internationalen Wettbewerben wie etwa den London Photography Awards, European Photography Awards, Budapest International Foto Awards, New York Photography Awards und Prix de la Photographie de Paris ausgezeichnet.

Photokurs
Dies ist ein Fotokurs von A-Z für jedermann. Er beginnt mit der Denkweise und der Inspiration des Fotografen, umreißt dann einige grundlegende kreative fotografische Werkzeuge, die beim Fotografieren zu beachten sind, und zeigt auf, was in der digitalen Dunkelkammer zu beachten ist, und endet mit einigen Gedanken darüber, warum das Drucken der Fotos so wichtig ist.
Dieses Videoserie ist noch in Arbeit und ich werde neue Kapitel hinzufügen, wenn ich Zeit habe.
